So my buddy Jeff drops by a couple of weeks ago and we get to talking over a case of beer.

Jeff is a writer and loves a great argument. We tend to go off on strange tangents, and this time was no different.

We were discussing the word masturbation, as it relates to the concept of self-gratification, and all the ways that applies to life.

As the conversation went on, we stumbled onto the topic of talking to oneself, as we both practice that habit regularly. We decided that talking to yourself is a form of masterbation, or self gratification, and after some more exploration, I came up with the term self-debating.

Later he mentioned he saw an image created using some compositing techniques and challenged me to make something for him to post to a forum he talks on. Using the theme of self-debating, and knowing him as well as I do, I came up with the image at the top of this entry…
